Prof. Paweł Izdebski (Doktorat 1995, Habilitation 2007), geb. 1958,
Absolvent der Warschauer Universität – ist Psychologe, der sich mit Gesundheitspsychologie befasst. Er ist Leiter der Anstalt für Individuelle Unterschiede beim Institut für Psychologie an der Kazimierz-Wielki-Universität Bydgoszcz. In seinen Forschungen befasst er sich vor allem mit Persönlichkeitspsychologie, Gerontopsychologie und Psychoonkologie. Im Laufe der letzten 20 Jahre führte er Forschungen und Untersuchungen von psychologischen Aspekten des Brustkrebses durch, indem er die Rolle von psychologischen Faktoren in Ätiologie und im Gesundungsprozess sowie die Lebensqualität der Frauen in der Onkotherapie untersuchte. Bevor er seine didaktische und wissenschaftliche Arbeit aufnahm, arbeitete er mehrere Jahre als Klinikpsychologe und führte eine Psychotherapie in der Klinik für Psychiatrie an der Universität für Medizin Bydgoszcz und in der Tagesabteilung für Psychiatrie in Bydgoszcz.
