Informacje:

Dr. Sreejita Banerjee is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Geographical Sciences at Kazimierz Wielki University (UKW), Bydgoszcz, Poland, based in the Department of Inland Waterway Revitalization. Her research sits at the intersection of climate change, hydrological ecosystem services and nature-based solutions, with a particular focus on deltaic systems and the Vietnamese Mekong Delta.

Her work examines how climate change reshapes the ecosystem services that underpin food security, and how nature-based and ecosystem-based approaches can build resilience when their technical, social and political dimensions are addressed together. She brings expertise in remote sensing, carbon accounting and participatory methods, and has contributed to research across South and Southeast Asia, including Vietnam, Lao PDR and Nepal.

She holds a PhD (2025) on climate change impacts on hydrological ecosystem services and food security, an M.Sc. in Geography (Geomorphology) from Savitribai Phule Pune University, and the Cambridge International Certificate in Teaching and Learning. A committed educator, she is dedicated to translating research for students, policymakers and communities engaged in climate adaptation.
