Context and Event FocusThe Russian war against Ukraine has not only caused a severe humanitarian crisis but also significantly harmed the country’s natural environment, disrupting essential efforts to restore habitats, conserve species, manage protected areas, and address climate change. In this context, the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences has established the Ukraine Nature Network (UKN), a platform to connect researchers and institutions and disseminate information on environmental and nature conservation initiatives in Ukraine.
